With roots in Germany and the UK, Metal Hammer was born in the mid 1980s and became arguably the most well known metal magazine in the world. While the cover artists are often more mainstream in nature, the magazine has featured a myriad of true, thrash, gothic, death and black metal bands in its pages.
Bands featured include Sabbat, Slayer, Darkthrone, Marduk, Fear Factory, King Diamond, Cradle of Filth, Watain, Decapitated, Dimmu Borgir, Metallica, Megadeth, Doro, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Black Sabbath, Obituary, Judas Priest, Testament, Celtic Frost, Alice Cooper, Venom, Nuclear Assault, Anthrax, Voivod, Emperor, Sepultura, Death, Entombed, Moonspell, Electric Wizard.
Unless indicated cover CDs (where relevant) are not included and we have noted if a magazine has notable wear.
